Olivia N. Bischler Scholarship
Student must be an undergraduate minority student with a declared major in Political Science. When awarded to an incoming freshman, consideration will be given to high school performance, college potential and leadership qualities. When awarded to a student enrolled at the sophomore level or higher, the student must have maintained an overall GPA of 2.0 and a GPA of 2.5 in the major field of study. Financial need is considered. Student must submit a letter explaining the economic hardship involved in achieving a university education.

Curl Political Science Scholarship
Student must be a junior or senior having completed 60 hours or more, have a overall GPA of 3.0 and political science GPA of 3.5, and have completed or be enrolled in at least 12 hours of political science course work at the time of application. Preference will be given to students from Southwest Missouri who have a rural or small town background. Financial need is considered.

Frank Dinka Comparative Politics Scholarship
Student must be junior or senior who has completed 60 hours including completed / enrolled 12 hours of political science or comparative politics course and have an overall GPA of 3.0 and major GPA of 3.2.  Financial need is considered.

Dr. Alice Fleetwood Bartee Award
Student must be a senior with highest overall GPA and plan to enroll in graduate / law school.

H.D. Harmon Scholarship
Student must be enrolled at the sophomore level or higher and have an overall GPA of at least 3.0. Financial need is considered.

Horace Haseltine Memorial Scholarship
Student must be a junior or senior in the pre-law curriculum and a member of Phi Alpha Delta.

Heinlein International Affairs Scholarship
Student must be a junior or senior (completed 60 hrs or more) who has completed or enrolled in at least 12 hours of political science or international relations course work at the time of application and have an overall GPA of 3.0 and a GPA of 3.2 in departmental major. Financial need is considered

Frank Mazzella Memorial Scholarship
Student must be enrolled at the graduate level and have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0.  Preference will be given to a student pursuing emphasis in International Relations and Administration or Comparative Political Systems. Recipients must be enrolled in 6 graduate hours each semester. Financial need is considered.

PLS Alumni Scholarship
Student must be at the sophmore level or higher with a declared major in Political Science. Applicants must have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours, including 12 hours in Political Science, and must have maintained a minimum 3.50 grade point average in Political Science coursework. Recipients must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours each semester.

Judge Jack A. Powell Memorial Scholarship
Student must be a junior or senior Political Science major pursuing a career in law, leading to a Doctorate Jurisprudence degree. Recipient must have a cumulative GPA of  3.0 or higher. Student must demonstrate leadership potential and good character.

Missouri State University-West Plains

Charles H. and Rena Wood Endowed Scholarship

Value: Approximately $600 (contingent on available funds)

Criteria: Awarded to a student enrolled at Missouri State University-West Plains and preferably a resident of Howell County. Student must be majoring in one of the following fields: English, history, political science or accounting. When awarded to an incoming freshman, consideration will be given to high school performance, college potential as indicated by aptitude tests, and to leadership qualities. When awarded to a student who has earned 30 hours or more, the student must have maintained an overall grade point average of at least 3.5. Awards will be made with regard for financial need.

St. Louis University

A.R. Herman Scholarship

Annual awards for full-time undergraduate students attending Saint Louis University who are enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences. Applicants must be an employed Federal work-study program, have financial need and contribute personal funds toward their education. Due date, award amount and number of awards may vary. Leonor K. Sullivan Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established by Congresswoman Leonor Sullivan for female political science students with high academic achievement.

Dr. Henry Christopher Endowed Scholarship

This fund honors Dr. Christopher, a former faculty member, and is for students majoring in political science.

John J. Dwyer Scholarship Fund

This scholarship established in 1997 in memory of John J. Dwyer and gives preference to political science students.

Southeast Missouri State University

Anna C. Draughon Political Science

Open to entering freshmen who intend to major in Political Science. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA and demonstrated financial need. Deadline is March 1.

Walter H. “Doc” Ford Memorial

Open to students majoring in Economics, Political Science, or Education. Applicant must have a “B” average. Award will be renewable for a maximum of 2 academic years. If an applicant meets the above criteria and is also a basketball player (men’s or women’s team), preference on selection will be given to a basketball player. Also, applicant must show evidence of financial need. Deadline is March 1.

Eugene E. McDowell

Open to residents of any county in the University’s service area south of Ste. Genevieve who plan to study Political Science, History or Government. Financial need is the primary consideration. Deadline is March 1.

Dan Bishop Scholarship in Public Policy
