The Bill Gwatney Memorial Endowed Scholarship
The purpose of the Bill Gwatney Memorial Endowed Scholarship shall be to honor the memory of the Arkansas State Democratic Party Chairman Bill Gwatney and is in recognition of his dedication to the political process at which he achieved many accomplishments. The funds will be used to provide for any education related expenses, including but not limited to tuition, books, fees and room and board, for students pursuing or furthering a degree or continuing education in political science at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
The Jeffrey C. Ledbetter Endowed Scholarship
The purpose of the Jeffrey C. Ledbetter Endowed Scholarship shall be to honor the memory of Jeffrey C. Ledbetter and to provide assistance for any education related expenses, including but not limited to tuition, books, fees, and room and board, for students majoring in Political Science at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Southern Arkansas University
The department awards six scholarships directly from its endowments. Two named scholarships awarded by the Office of Financial Aid have a preference for history majors. Departmental majors may also compete for one or more scholarships awarded by the School of Liberal and Performing Arts.
